Playgrounds at Aiken & Dormont will remain closed through July; Myrtle Avenue school grounds will be closed through the summer
The playgrounds at Dormont Elementary School and Fred L. Aiken Elementary School will remain closed to the public through the end of July so that crews can continue to install new equipment and rubber playground surfacing.
Additionally, Myrtle Avenue Elementary School’s playgrounds, fields, and parking lots are now closed to the public and will remain closed throughout the summer. The equipment and materials that are currently on site make it unsafe for the public to use for recreational activities. Myrtle Avenue Elementary School’s offices will be open for summer hours; appointments are strongly encouraged.
